The Persian Dining Tradition

Persian food is centered around the concept of community and shared meals. Traditional Persian feasts are served on large spreads, where family and friends gather around the table to enjoy a variety of dishes together. This communal approach fosters connection and celebrates the joy of eating as a group.

Key dishes like kebabs, stews, and rice dishes are staples of the Persian table. Skewers of marinated lamb, chicken, or beef are grilled over an open flame, paired with rice dishes like polo and chelow, and complemented by fresh herbs, bread, and salads.
